A: Booking a SmartBus ticket with IntrCity is a simple three-step process:

  • Log in using your mobile number
  • Search for your route and select your desired seat(s)
  • Enter passenger details and make a secured payment
  • Once you’ve completed these steps, you will receive all the ticket details along with a generated PNR via message and email.

Q: Can I reschedule my journey after booking my bus ticket?

A: Yes, you can reschedule your booked ticket conditioned to reschedule rules.

Q: Do I need to carry a printed copy of my ticket?

A: No, Printed copy of your ticket is not required. When you book online, you’ll receive all your ticket details via SMS and WhatsApp, including a QR code. Simply share the OTP with the IntrCity crew, who will have access to your seat information and assist you during boarding.

Q: What should I do if I’ve lost my ticket?

A: There’s no need to worry if you lose your ticket. When you book online, you’ll receive all your ticket details via SMS and WhatsApp, including a QR code. You can share the OTP or QR Code with the IntrCity crew, who will also have access to your seat information and can assist you with boarding comfortably. If you didn’t receive the OTP or QR, simply share your proof of purchase with the PNR to board the bus.

Q: What is an m Ticket, and how does it work?

A: When you book online, you’ll receive all your ticket details via email, SMS and WhatsApp, including a QR code, known as mTicket.

Q: I didn’t get my m Ticket. Can you send it again?

A: Sure, you can contact IntrCity’s Customer Care for assistance with your mTicket and any other details you may need

Q: I entered the wrong mobile number during booking. Can my m Ticket be sent to a different number?

A: For safety reasons, we send your mTicket only to the mobile number you provide during the booking process. Please note that tickets can also be sent to a registered email address. You can also check your trip details using the PNR on the ‘My Trips’ page of the IntrCity App. You can always board the bus showing a valid ticket with a valid PNR number

Q: Is it safe to use my credit or debit card for booking bus tickets on IntrCity?

A: Yes, it is safe to use your credit or debit card for booking bus tickets on IntrCity. IntrCity doesn’t store any card information and is fully compliant to RBIs guidelines on accepting payments and storing credit or debit card information.

Q: Does the credit/debit cardholder need to be one of the passengers when purchasing a bus ticket?

A: No, the credit/debit cardholder does not need to be one of the passengers when purchasing a bus ticket. However, the traveller is required to share the OTP, QR Code or PNR (one of the three) while boarding the bus. The information is shared with the booker at the time of booking.

Q: What payment methods are available for booking bus tickets?

A: There are multiple payment options available on IntrCity SmartBus such as UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit cards, Wallets, Pay Later options like Simpl etc

Cancellations & Refunds

Q: Is it possible to cancel my bus ticket online?

A: Yes, it is possible to cancel your booked ticket. With Flexi Cancellation, you get 100% instant refund when you cancel within a certain timeline before the bus departure. For exact information, please refer to your eticket.

Q: What is the process to cancel my bus ticket online?

A: If your plans change and you need to cancel your bus ticket, you can choose Flexi Cancellation to receive a 100% instant refund in your IntrCity wallet. Refer to the My Bookings section or Bus Booking Policy on the App for more details on the applicability of Flexi Ticket hours.

Q: I’ve made a mistake in my bus ticket booking. What can I do to get a full refund?

A: You have an option to get a 100% refund, if you cancel your bus booking within 5 minutes of the booking time. The normal cancellation rules do not apply while using this option.

Q: Will I get a refund if I miss the bus?

A: Since the bus has departed as scheduled based on the bookings received, a refund is not applicable if the user misses their bus. However, you can still file a TDR for the refund after the bus has departed. The support team will investigate the reason and issue a refund, if they find it applicable.

Q: My bus had a breakdown. Am I entitled to a refund?

In an unfortunate situation of a breakdown, our first priority is to find an alternate transportation for our passengers. While it is possible to accommodate passengers in the other IntrCity run services on many of our routes, on some routes (and instances) we are unable to make such accommodation available. In such situations, IntrCity issues a refund which is subject to IntrCity’s refund policy. This is dependent on distance covered by the bus, type of breakdown, ability to accommodate passengers in other IntrCity Services (or other operator vehicles) and other factors. The amount of the refund is subject to IntrCity’s refund policy.
