It is inevitable that buses will start becoming the biggest mode of travel over the coming years. And making buses travel-friendly for Senior Citizens is going to be important. We are glad that many of the amenities (on-bus Bus Captain, Washrooms, Boarding Lounges, etc.) provided by IntrCity have been very much appreciated by our Senior Citizens guests.

For this year 2021 – the theme for International Day of Older Persons was around “Digital Equity for all Ages”.  The theme stresses the need for the elderly to receive access to the digital world and help them become active participants to enrich their lives. We at IntrCity are committed to the same. One such metric which we track about how we are doing in this regard is to see how many such older travelers booked their SmartBus tickets on their own. Our current data shows that nearly 65% of senior citizens who traveled with IntrCity booked their tickets on their own.

The “Pay@Bus” feature – wherein the traveler can book the tickets online but pay for them on the bus – has been pretty popular among Senior Citizens.
